The Serb wanted for crimes against humanity is being extradited to Croatia this afternoon. He arrived at Malta International Airport in a prison van a few moments ago.

Eror Gojko, a 49-year-old construction worker who has been living in Gzira for 11 years and has family here is wanted for crimes that allegedly include the killing of civilians, torture, kidnapping and deportation to concentration camps two decades ago.

He was born in Vukovar in eastern Croatia but is of Serbian nationality.

He was arrested on the strength of a European Arrest Warrant issued by the authorities in Croatia.
