The Gardjola lookout post at Senglea Point is to be restored in a €250,000 project announced this morning by Justice and Culture Minister Owen Bonnici.

He said the project, which incorporate the underlying bastion and rock base, will be party funded by the European Regional Development Fund.

The project comes as restoration of Fort St Angelo across Dockyard Creek enters its final phases.

The gardjola was built at the time of the knights and dismantled for preservation during the war.
