The Malta Business Bureau is organising a business seminar on "Managing ICT Investments in Challenging Times". The event is being organised in collaboration with the IT Section of the Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry and will be held at the Hotel Phoenicia on Tuesday.

The seminar will be addressed by Herbert Rastbichler, managing director and vice president enterprise business for Central and Eastern Europe at HP.

In this role Mr Rastbichler is responsible for strategy decisions and business growth across the regions, for the entire HP portfolio of products and services. He has 28 years of experience in the IT industry and is particularly keen on the IT services market place.

According to MBB CEO Joe Tanti, "the ICT sector should be given heightened importance, as building on this potential is now more important than ever to boost economic recovery".

Keith Fearne, chairman of the IT business section of the Malta Chamber also explained that "with the world going through a recovery phase after the economic downturn of last year, ICT budgets are still tight. Business decision makers face a situation where they need to invest in ICT to keep ahead and be innovative, whilst balancing other expenditure. Our intention at the business breakfast is to have a healthy discussion about these issues".

A panel chaired by Mr Fearne will provide a platform for the exchange of views. Registration and breakfast will commence at 8 a.m. while the keynote speech by Mr Rastbichler will begin at 8.30 a.m. Those interested in attending are kindly requested to contact the MBB on info@mbb.org.mt or by phone on 2125 1719.

Attendance is free of charge for all Malta Chamber and MHRA members. Non-members may secure their place against a fee of €25 by cheque.
