W and D Magro, the professional services firm, is holding a two-day seminar on persuasive communication at the Phoenicia Hotel, Floriana, on January 19 and February 2.

The event is aimed at managers, lawyers, accountants, healthcare workers, policy-makers or teachers – anyone who would like to learn new ways to be able to communicate persuasively to achieve the desired results.

W and D Magro said the seminar is designed to help people polish their communication skills and those who believe that change and improved ways of doing things are the way forward to challenge crises and be productive in 2011.

The seminar will be led by Claudette Portelli, a strategic coach at W and D’s business advisory unit. Dr Portelli is a psychologist and trainer, and senior collaborator at Arezzo’s Centro di Terapia Strategica. The centre was founded by Paul Watzlawick of the US and Giorgio Nardone of Italy, who are the masterminds behind the strategic problem solving model.

The seminar, to be held between 5 and 8 p.m., is accredited five hours of structure CPE and qualified for the attainment of professional competencies in terms of the MIA CPE regulations.

It also qualifies for a subsidy under the Employment and Training Corporation’s scheme.

The fee for the course is €70.
