The PSD Teachers' Association in collaboration with the Department of Psychology at the University and the Directorate for Quality and Standards in Education, is organising a seminar entitled 'Bringing purpose and fulfilment to your teaching - the pastoral care model: The practical implications to enhance your contribution and effectiveness' by Luke Monahan, an international educational consultant and author.

The session will identify the realities of the classroom experience; address challenging issues in behaviour; academic performance and social development; analyse the contribution of a pastoral approach, its practical implications and positive strategies; tackle the role of management and school leadership at every level; enhance an appreciative enquiry - a process to recognise and build upon the positive in professional practice; and address participants' issues.

The seminar, which is targeted at educators, will be held on April 15 from 4 till 7 p.m. at St Sebastian pastoral centre, Qormi.
