Secretaries normally sit at a desk carrying out administrative and office duties. However, the role recently took a different twist at Frank Salt when the secretarial team decided to put their culinary skills to the test.

As part of the company's ongoing training programme, 15 secretaries took part in a team-building activity at Ir-Razzett tal-Ħbiberija, which focused on project coordination and team building through cooking and other culinary exercises.

The activity was also part of the company's commitment to social institutions, this time in aid of Inspire. Following the event, secretaries and those present sat down together and enjoyed a delicious meal they had cooked.

"Our philosophy is pretty much geared towards ongoing training and personal development," says HR manager Sandra Aquilina.

"We understand the value of such initiatives for career development and how this contributes immensely to motivation and productivity," she added. In fact, each member of each team is regularly invited to attend training courses and seminars.

This time, management opted to think outside the box and came up with a team-building event involving a good dose of fun.

Frank Salt Real Estate' training programmes include a full induction and preparation course for property consultants, as well as regular management training for senior and middle management.

"When it comes to real estate, negotiators play a crucial role. They must be dedicated, professional and trustworthy not only towards the company, but towards customers who put their trust and property needs in their hands," said managing director Joseph Lupi.

The culinary event also formed part of activities undertaken by the company to celebrate its 40th anniversary.
