Porsche recently expanded its range of vehicles with the introduction of its latest supercar - the Cayman S - to be launched in Malta this month.
This new sports coupé derives its name from the smallest of crocodiles.
A spokesman for Continental Cars, the exclusive importers of Porsche cars in Malta said the Cayman S and Porsche already have a close connection to Malta. Last year the German company, based in Stuttgart, held its international launch for its agents and employees on Comino.
The car was secretly transported to the island, where high level Porsche officials and agents were introduced to the new model set in breathtaking surroundings.
No details of the local launch have as yet been made public, however the company said that the launch will be something spectacular in style.
The Cayman S has 295bhp, 3.4-liter, six-cylinder boxer engine giving a top speed of 275kph (180mph) and a 0 - 160kph (100mph) figure of just 11.7 seconds.
