Kevin Chircop, 19 of Floriana, was placed under probation for three years today after admitting in court to stealing more than €2,300 from a house in St Albert Street, Gzira on the night of December 21/22. He also admitted relapsing.

The court heard that Chircop had, in September, been condemned to 100 hours of community service and was also placed on probation for three years.

In a pre-sentencing report, the probation officer said that if the accused was followed closely he may reform.

Magistrate Gabriella Vella placed him on probation for three years and issued a restriction order for the accused not to go near the residence which he burgled.
