The second generation Audi TT has just been launched.

Like its predecessor, the new Audi TT is initially available as a four-seater coupé with the separate roadster model scheduled for a later launch.

The new TT is 137 mm longer than its predecessor at 4.178 metres and 78 mm wider at 1.842 metres.

The body is constructed in the Audi space frame design and consists of aluminium and steel.

The basic luggage capacity of the boot is 290 litres but can be increased to 700 litres by folding down the rear seat backs.

There is a choice of two petrol engines - the 2.01 turbo charged four-cylinder and the 3.2 litre V6 engine.

Both are equipped with a six speed manual gearbox.

The entry model comes with a price tag of Lm27,800. Standard features include 17" alloy wheels, climate control air conditioner, power steering, leather sports seats, electric windows and mirrors, remote central locking, anti-theft alarm, engine immobiliser, six air bags, radio CD player, on board computer and a state-of-the-art electronic stability programme.
