The official opening of the 'Maltese Room' at the Kandersteg International Scout Centre (KISC), Switzerland, was held recently by David Darmanin, group scout leader of the First Sliema Scout Group (Bernard's Own), in the presence of Robert Gonzi, honorary general secretary of the Scout Association of Malta, and international guests.

The Sliema Scout Group organised the creation, funding and decoration of this themed room as the final part of its centenary celebrations.

KISC is a world-renowned scout centre consisting of a large complex offering varied adventure activities.

The 'Maltese Room' is available as guest accommodation throughout the year and is housed in the new part of the chalet, which was refurbished recently.
