Heritage Malta, next Sunday will be exhibiting a selection of plaster casts made by well known Maltese artist Antonio Sciortino at the National Museum of Fine Arts in Valletta.

The casts, which form part of the National Collection, have not ben on permanent display for a number of years. The casts are being displayed as part of the event ARTISPORT which is being organised jointly by Heritage Malta and the Kunsill Malti għall-iSport. The event which is open to children between the ages of 5 and 10 will consist of two activities; traditional children’s games in Hastings Gardens and a Treasure Hunt at the Museum of Fine Arts.

The casts form part of the Antonio Sciortino Bequest to the people of Malta made by the artist himself in 1947. These works previously belonged to the sculptur and were last exhibited at the Antonio Sciortino Exhibition in Gozo last August.
