Marija Sciberras posted a time of 14.82 seconds in the second heat of the 100m girls’ hurdles at the Youth Olympic Games yesterday.

Running in lane seven at Singapore’s Bishan Stadium, Sciberras finished last among six competitors despite recording her best time this season. Still, Sciberras’s time yesterday was marginally slower than her personal best of 14.67.

Jamaica’s Megan Simmonds won the heat in 13.64 seconds.

Today, Tamara Vella, 17, will run in the third heat of the 100m event. Vella has a personal best of 13.12 seconds.
