Former Ferrari driver Michael Schumacher signs an autograph for a girl at a temporary refuge camp for earthquake survivors in Poasito, Costa Rica, on Wednesday. Schumacher visited the zone of the epicentre of a 6.1-magnitude earthquake last week where the death toll is likely to rise to around 40 after an emergency official on Monday scaled back the number of people missing. Schumacher, who won the F1 drivers' title a record seven times during his career, was already in Costa Rica to promote a traffic road safety campaign but he diverted his tour to survey the worst-affected region near the Poas volcano.
