A group of Maltese artists, entertainers and business people will play host at the Saudi-Maltese Cultural and Business week at the Jeddah Summer festival between July 21 and 27.

Resting on the western border of Saudi Arabia, the busiest port on the Red Sea and business centre of this vast, oil-rich country, Jeddah receives over three million visitors during this lively festival.

Over 250 events will be held during the 45-day activity starting at the end of this month.

The festival is aimed at all members of society and supports domestic tourism in a way that complies with Saudi culture.

Considerable effort has been made to promote Maltese culture and business during this time.

The Saudi Maltese Cultural and Business week will promote some of the best Malta has to offer thanks to locations provided by the Jeddah branch of the Saudi tourism authority.

Private gatherings are also planned at local resorts allowing government and business leaders to sample Maltese art, culture, cuisine, and entertainment throughout the cool evenings.

Business and work meetings are planned during the day allowing Maltese business people the opportunity to discuss possible collaborations among various Saudi business organisations based in the Western province.
