The Sara Grech Group held its annual general meeting at the Waterfront hotel last month. Over 45 consultants attended this informative meeting, which is a long-awaited occasion for the managers, property consultants and administration staff who have been working very hard to reach the company's targets, for which they are rewarded with bonuses including overseas trips for the consultant of the year and the inspector of the year. A visual presentation enabled the consultants to enjoy the past year's business achievements.

Company chairperson Sara Grech praised the staff for their success and congratulated them for their achievements. Sara Grech Ltd has recently embarked on a new specialist programme tailormade to meet the demands and expectations of companies and individuals involved in the sale and purchase of various types of real estate.

The setting up of departments has led to smaller teams of specialists being trained in specific fields, comprising commercial sales and leasing, sites and plots, residential sales, upmarket property and business opportunities, with feasibility studies being prepared in house. Whether buying, selling, leasing or renting, customers will be enjoying professional advice in every specific field.

"We want to ensure that all customers are guaranteed professional advice in any aspect of real estate," Ms Grech said. "By setting up these departments our organisation will be in a position to tackle future trends even more effectively with a clear vision of the future, which is a prerequisite in the industry with most investments being of a long term nature."

New training material and equipment have been ordered and full induction courses covering aspects of real estate have become compulsory for all new consultants joining the group.

Two new positions were handed out this year: Sandra Aquilina, a long-term member of the company for the past 16 years, was appointed head of sales; and Marianne Valentino was appointed group administrator.

The awards ceremony was presented after lunch to the best sales consultant 2002 to Fernando Briffa, who won a trip overseas for two. Paul Sammut was awarded the inspector of the year 2003 and also a trip overseas for two persons. Simon Hansford was awarded top rental consultant and a weekend for two at Ta' Cenc, Gozo.

Gordon Valentino received the Manager of the Year award, with a weekend for two to Gozo; Lino Grima was given the Administration of the Year award, with a weekend to Gozo; and Vicky Spiteri received the Best Newcomer of the Year award.

Certificates were given to Josef Cassano, Steve Delia and Emmanuel Buhagiar for Top Consultants in Sliema, Fgura and St Paul's Bay, respectively.

Ms Grech outlined her plans for 2003 demonstrating great determination to continuously increase the company's share in the market and enhance the standard of its services through consultants.

With Sara Grech's vast experience in the industry, she has proved beneficial in the company's continuous growth. As customer needs shift, the competition's skills improve and the public's mood changes, the companies that tack, revamp, adjust, transform and adapt will achieve success and therefore, Ms Grech said 2003 would be a year to be proud of.
