The Beijing Olympics is the theme for the summer school that is being organised at San Andrea. A total of 130 students aged between two years six months and 13 years are participating.

Students are taking part in various fun and educational activities such as swimming, drama, cooking, abseiling, first aid, life-saving, snorkeling, creative thinking, media skills, literacy, environmental issues, sports and many other subjects. All subjects are being treated with an oriental touch in order to keep up with the Olympic theme.

At the end of the eight-week programme students will show off their talents by presenting a variety of their work to their parents and school's board. This will be held during an open day next Thursday.

The open day will feature all the work covered by the group of children aged two years six months to five years. An oriental cookery book, a play with the Beijing Olympics theme, the art and craft work, brake dancing and many more short performances will be set up by the older children.
