Salmonella has been located at a farm in Victoria, the health authorities said.

In a statement on Saturday, they said the bacteria was isolated from the farm’s environment.

On Tuesday, the authorities said salmonella had been confirmed at another local farm, St Joseph's.

The Victoria farm is located at 133, St Domenica Street.

The sampling was undertaken as part of the Veterinary National Control programme for salmonella.

The authorities directed the producer to stop placing eggs on the market produced in his farm and recall all the eggs produced from July 13 onwards.

The public was advised not to consume any eggs originating directly from this farm.
