St Andrews 6

Pembroke Athleta 0

St Andrews have guaranteed themselves a berth in next season’s Premier League after registering a comprehensive 6-0 victory over bottom-placed Pembroke Athleta.

Danilo Doncic’s side forged ahead on 18 minutes when Ivan Paz converted from the penalty spot after Tonci Radovnikovic floored Kyrian Nwoko, with Pembroke’s defender given the marching orders from the referee.

On 44 minutes, Dale Camilleri doubled the score when Aidan Friggieri notched the ball towards him and from outside the box, he drilled the ball past Akyristis Roppas.

As the second half commenced, St Andrews found a third when captain Joseph Farrugia concluded from close-range after an excellent combination between Paz and Aidan Friggieri.

Young Friggieri listed his name on the scoresheet when he added a fourth after receiving from Ziga Kastrevec.

On 86 minutes, defender Bong Won Che’s towering header resulted in St Andrews’ fifth before substitute Jacob Walker sealed the result after capitalising on his solo effort.
