Former Italy coach Arrigo Sacchi arrived in Malta today to conduct a one-day seminar at the Ta' Qali training grounds with the coaches from the Premier League and Division One and those who hold UEFA 'A' Licence.
The former Milan and Italy coach is currently occupying the post of the Youth Sector Co-Ordinator at the Italian Football Federation where he is assisted by Maurizio Vischidi who has also made the trip to Malta.
Tomorrow morning Sacchi and Vischidi will conduct a practical session with the Maltese coaches while in the afternoon they will be involved in a theoretical discussion at the Ta' Qali training grounds.
"I am honoured to have been invited by the Malta Football Association to conduct this seminar here in Malta," Sacchi said.
"I hope that Maurizio and I will be able to help the Maltese coaches to further increase their knowledge of the game and give our part in boosting the level of football here."
During the meeting with the Maltese media, Sacchi talked about his coaching experiences with both Milan and the Italian national team while he also highlighted the importance for a football club to adopt a unique football philosophy to assure itself of long-term success.
