Algeria coach Rabah Saadane was handed a new two-year deal yesterday with the task of leading the team into the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations finals, the Algerian Football Federation (FAF) announced.

Saadane's original contract, signed in 2007, expires at the end of July. The veteran coach led Algeria to the World Cup finals in South Africa, the country's first appearance at the global showpiece in 24 years, although they were eliminated in the first round.
