A Ryanair aircraft arriving from Luton was yesterday grounded after it was damaged by an ambu-lift, which is used to help disabled people onto planes.

Globeground officials refused to comment about the incident. However, sources said the ground handlers called for a replacement aircraft which took off later in the afternoon.

The damaged aircraft was grounded for further investigations and repairs, even though sources said the damage was probably “very light”.
