Ryanair has added a new route from Malta to Rome as part of its expanded winter 2015 schedule.

The new route to Rome Ciampino Airport will operate five times weekly from October 25, alongside a new route to the East Midlands in the UK and more flights to Madrid.

Ryanair will now operate a total of 22 routes from Malta International Airport, which the airline said would deliver over 1.1 million customers annually and support 1,100 on-site jobs.

The airline also announced that 100,000 seats would be on sale across its European network for travel in June, at prices starting from €19.99. These low-fare seats are available for booking until midnight on Monday, May 11.
