Two Russian cosmonauts have installed new equipment outside the International Space Station.

Russian flight engineers Fyodor Yurchikhin and Alexander Misurkin departed the confines of the International Space Station and routed two power cables and an Ethernet line for a new Russian laboratory to be installed later this year.

The outing is the third of six space walks Russia plans to conduct this year.

NASA meanwhile is still investigating the cause of a spacesuit helmet leak that forced two other crew members at the space station to abort a space walk on July 16.
