Id-Divina Commedia, the 65-minute monologue by veteran actor Mario Micallef, will be back due to popular demand on December 18.

“We sold out five times last month and decided to be back with yet another production of this classic Dante Alighieri masterpiece,” said Mr Micallef.

“The Divina Commedia is the work of a genius which in my opinion is as engrossing as modern-day popular sorcery fiction. At a higher level it represents what the afterlife meant to the mediaeval mind as developed in the Church.

“This performance takes the audience on a voyage starting from hell, through purgatory and ending in heaven,” he added.

• Id-Divina Commedia is being staged at St James Cavalier on December 18 at 8 p.m. Tickets may be obtained by phone on 2122 3200 or online: www.sjcav.org.
