MotoGP world champion Valentino Rossi has not yet fully recovered from a "scary" domestic accident in which he cut his hand and foot.

While he was closing the curtains at his home in Italy, the Italian rider fell on to a glass table and cut his left hand and the sole of his foot.

"It was very scary because there was a lot of blood everywhere you know and I go to (doctor Claudio) Costa and he puts some stitches," Rossi told Dorna Sports this week during testing at the Sepang circuit in which he was third quickest.

"In 10 days I will be okay," said Rossi waving his two bandaged fingers.

The 29-year-old, who stormed to his fifth MotoGP world title last year, unveiled Yamaha's 2009 bike over the Internet last Monday before the season-opener in Qatar on April 12.
