Brief news ahead of this weekend's matches in Italy's Serie A:

* AS Roma captain Francesco Totti will miss tomorrow's visit to Juventus, the club said on their website (www.asroma.it), after pain flared up in the knee he had surgery on last season during today's training session.

Brazil striker Julio Baptista is in Roma's squad for the match in Turin after a thigh injury and may take Totti's place in the starting lineup.

Roma, the 2007/8 runners-up who have lost their last three league games, will be well rested for the encounter after their home match against Sampdoria was abandoned on Wednesday due to torrential rain.

* Juventus captain Alessandro Del Piero should be fit after missing Wednesday's 2-1 win over Bologna with a knock, the club said on their website (www.juventus.com).

Defenders Nicola Legrottaglie and Zdenek Grygera should return from minor problems too, but Juve are still without a host of injured players, including midfielder Christian Poulsen, goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon and striker David Trezeguet.

* Ronaldinho hopes to be back from a bruised kneecap for in-form AC Milan against leaders Napoli at the San Siro on Sunday.

"I'll do a very hard training session today and I'll try to convince (coach Carlo) Ancelotti that I'm ready," the Brazil forward, who missed Milan's 2-1 win over Siena on Wednesday, was quoted as saying by La Gazzetta dello Sport.

* Midfielder Manuele Blasi returns from suspension for Napoli, who share the lead with Udinese on 20 points from nine games, a point more than Milan.

* Inter Milan coach Jose Mourinho has excluded Brazil striker Adriano from his squad for tomorrow's match at bottom side Reggina because of the indiscipline that also caused him to be dropped for Wednesday's draw with Fiorentina.

Adriano angered Mourinho by showing up late for training earlier this week, according to media reports.

Midfielders Esteban Cambiasso and Sulley Muntari miss out again for the champions, who are fourth with 18 points after two consecutive goalless draws, because of leg muscle strains.

* Italy striker Antonio Di Natale is likely to miss Udinese's visit to Genoa on Sunday because of a knee problem that also kept him out of Wednesday's 2-0 win at Catania.

* Adrian Mutu is a doubt for Fiorentina's trip to Tuscan rivals Siena on Sunday, when they will be without the Romanian's suspended strike partner Alberto Gilardino.
