A road safety campaign urging motorists not to drink and drive has been launched by Rotaract Club Malta La Valette and Agenzija Sedqa.

Billboards placed in specific locations, including on road leading to Paceville gives a clear message ‘better safe than sorry… don’t drink and drive’.

Rotaract Club Malta La Valette President, Joseph Meli Attard, said it was unfortunate to witness a number of accidents during one of the most special times of the year.

“All it takes is organising ourselves by designating a driver for the evening. Our safety and that of the community must come first”.

Rotaract Club Malta La Valette has this year committed itself to a number of community initiatives and will be engaging itself in projects in the fields of environment, education, humanitarian, philanthropy, sport and culture.

A number of fundraising initiatives to help raise finds for these causes are being planned.
