GO has again pledged its full support to the Royal Malta Golf Club and recently signed up as the club's sole communications partner for a second term.

The upsurge in the popularity of the game proved to be the catalyst for GO's drive towards supporting RMGC top notch events in particular the annual GO Tournament.

Under terms of the partnership agreement that runs for the next two years, GO will provide the club with a range of high-tech communications services spread over its quad-play services - mobile, TV, phone and internet.

In addition to powering the club's ongoing activities, GO will award various communications services as prizes to the winner and the two runners-up of the two-day GO Tournament.

The Royal Malta Golf Club was founded in 1888 by the then Governor of Malta, Sir Henry D'Oyley Torrens. It was originally located around the outer and inner ditches of the Horn Work, Valletta's fortifications with a clubhouse in St Anne's Ditch.

The club was moved to its present location in 1904. Furthermore, the club will be celebrating its 125th anniversary in 2013 and will be inviting all 61 other Royal Golf Clubs around the world to attend these festivities.

Speaking about the renewal of the partnership agreement, GO's Chief Executive Officer, David Kay, said: "We are delighted to have the opportunity to team up once again with the Royal Malta Golf Club and continue to offer the club and its members our full support.

"GO has pledged support to backing up the Golf Club's vision of expanding Malta's only golf course and enhance its chances of roping in new members. In addition, the partnership underpins GO's active role in boosting golf tourism in the Maltese Islands."

The chairman of the Royal Malta Golf Club, Paul Stoner, thanked GO for responding a second time to the club's appeal for assistance.

"Powered by GO's state-of-the-art systems, the club is in a tremendously privileged position with hugely upgraded communications services."
