Restoration work will soon begin on six historic sites under a special scheme launched by the Gozo Ministry. The sites were selected from among 13 submissions put forward by local councils. The cost of the works will amount to over €50,000.

The works to be restored were announced by Gozo Minister Justyne Caruana. They include the monument of Mro Vincenzo Caruana Spiteri in Sannat, the niche of Our Lady of Loreto in Triq Għajn Qatet on the way to Victoria, the cross in Assumption Square, Żebbug, the niche of the Annunciation of Our Lady in Gambin Street, Għasri, Għajn Tuta Spring, Kerċem and the statue of Our Lady at Ramla Bay, Xagħra.
