Residents of Misrah Kola, Attard, were left wondering this morning how rainwater flowing along a nearby scenic spot was full of a soap-like substance with a foul smell.

The area features small dams to hold the rainwater, which is then used for irrigation by farmers in the area.

However stretches of the water were turned white this morning, with bubbles floating on the stream.

Attard councillor Ralph Cassar said the council had complained to the Water Services Corporation int he past and been told it could be a fault in the sewage system. The fault, however, was never identified.
