A woman who was rescued off Comino after suffering a serious spinal injury nine years ago finally got to meet her rescuers recently.

Daniella Zammit injured herself while diving off the rocks into the sea in July 2004. She was rescued and evacuated by a helicopter crew. A period at St Luke's Hospital followed.

Ms Zammit recently contacted the AFM's Public Information Office through the AFM facebook page and arrangements were made for her to visit the Air Wing, where she thanked her rescuers.
