A request for tender proposals for the design, build and operation of an upmarket mixed tourism and leisure development at the site of the Institute of Tourism Studies in St Julian’s has been issued by the government.

Projects Malta said in a statement this morning the government intended to award a concession for the site for the site which currently housed the institute and the land in close proximity to it.

The institute is being relocated to Smart City.

The concession will complement the government’s plans for St George’s Bay in St Julian’s, Projects Malta said.
