The Saturday fare to Gozo for Maltese passengers between this weekend and December 19 is being reduced from €4.65 to €1.20, Gozo Minister Anton Refalo said.
He said this was being done as part of a scheme called Għawdex Jaqbillek Dejjem aimed to attract visitors to Gozo in the shoulder period.
The passenger and car fare on the same Saturdays was being reduced from €15.70 to €8.20. The scheme does not apply for commercial vehicles.
