Tottenham Hotspur's decision to appoint Harry Redknapp as their new manager has been a masterstroke. Under Redknapp, the Londoners have put their disastrous start to the Premier League behind them as the former Portsmouth boss has restored the feelgood factor among the players and fans.

Fans are already dreaming of a great future for their team as Spurs are unbeaten since Redknapp replaced Juande Ramos.

In the Premier League, Spurs beat Bolton and Liverpool at home, triumphed at Manchester City and drew the derby at Arsenal 4-4 after being 4-2 down with only a few minutes left.

In the UEFA Cup, Tottenham crushed Dinamo Zagreb 4-0 in a group match at home and beat Liverpool again 4-2 in the League Cup earlier this week.

Striker Darren Bent has regained his best form under Redknapp, scoring seven goals in the last five matches.

Redknapp, who has called upon the services of Joe Jordan as his right-hand man, remarked that a quiet word was all that was needed to boost the players' confidence.

This afternoon, Tottenham play at Fulham in a London derby, their third of the campaign after previous draws at Chelsea and Arsenal.

The Cottagers have won two of their last three matches to move up to 10th in the standings.

Hawthorns: Chelsea regained top spot in the Premier League after their 2-0 win over Blackburn Rovers put them level on points with Liverpool but ahead on goal difference.

Blues skipper John Terry gave Nicolas Anelka a pat on the back for his brace against Blackburn.

West Brom have slipped back to the bottom of the table, a place they held early in the campaign.

Chelsea suffered a humiliating exit in the League Cup at the hands of Burnley at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday.

Reebok Stadium. For the first time this season, Bolton gained back-to-back wins in the Premier League, at home to Manchester City and away at Hull. The six-point haul lifted them to 11th in the standings.

Liverpool registered their best league win of the season against West Brom, 3-0 at Anfield.

It was a memorable day for strikers Robbie Keane and Fernando Torres. The Irish forward scored his first goals in the league since joining Liverpool from Tottenham and Torres returned to the fray after recovering from a hamstring injury.

Emirates Stadium. Arsenal are back in the title race following their 2-1 win over champions Manchester United in a scintillating match last Saturday. Arsene Wenger deserved the praise he got for the victory after Lady Luck had turned her back on him lately.

Wenger, whose side take on Aston Villa this afternoon, remarked that this season's title race will go down to the wire.

In midweek, Wenger's youngsters produced another fine performance in the 3-0 hiding of Wigan in the League Cup.

Villa manager Martin O'Neill bemoaned his side's dismal defending in the home upset to Middlesbrough last weekend.

Old Trafford. After suffering their second away defeat this season, Manchester United will be back in front of their own fans when they host Stoke City.

Following the loss at Arsenal, Sir Alex Ferguson claimed that his team have been 'handicapped' by their fixture list.

Yet, critics have suggested that the sale of Louis Saha to Everton was a mistake and also urged Ferguson to tame Wayne Rooney.

Stoke, having come under fire for the physical way they approach their opponents, have earned seven points from their last three matches to move to 12th place.

KC Stadium. Two managers who are passing through a difficult time in the Premier League are Hull's Phil Brown and Manchester City's Mark Hughes. Both the Tigers and the Citizens have lost their last three matches.

City have now suffered seven defeats from 12. Robinho believes he can become the 'best player in the world' at Eastlands.

Goodison Park. Everton are fast regaining top form and are just three points away from the top-four zone.

Last week, they improved their away record with another win and have now set their sights on claiming their second home victory of the season when they host Middlesbrough tomorrow.

Saha scored two fine goals against Hull last week and told the fans that his side are capable of claiming another UEFA Cup slot.

Teams that underestimate Middlesbrough, at home or away, do so at their own peril. The Teessiders tend to flop at home against lowly sides but have upset the applecart of bigger clubs on the away front.

Upton Park. West Ham are now just one point above the bottom three and manager Gianfranco Zola is under pressure to turn his team's fortunes around.

Zola is well-respected by the members of the West Ham board and the fans but so was Alan Curbishley before he got the sack earlier this season.

Tony Adams is breathing more easily after he steered Portsmouth to their first win since he took over from Redknapp. Adams remarked that his team would be targeting a place in the top ten after their defeat of Sunderland.

Ewood Park. Paul Ince has confronted Chelsea's assistant coach Ray Wilkins over claims that his Rovers side were over-physical and aggressive in the 0-2 loss against the Blues. Blackburn, who come into today's match on the back of three successive defeats, will encounter Sunderland for the second time this week after they beat them 2-1 at the Stadium of Light in the League Cup on Wednesday.

St James' Park. After a positive run, Newcastle forfeited all the points at Fulham and are back in the relegation zone.

Boss Joe Kinnear had a go at referee Martin Atkinson, claiming his bad decisions cost his side a point.

Wigan have lost two vital points in another lacklustre performance against Stoke at the JJB Stadium.
