The red wine Cusumano Nero D'Avola 2003 has been awarded a national oscar as the best Italian red under €10 by Almanacco del Bere Bene of Gambero Rosso, Bicanter distributors said.

Gambero Rosso termed the Cusumano Nero D'Avola 2003 "a small wonder". The Nero D'Avola grape is a Sicilian indigenous grape.

The Sicilian company, which also makes the award-winning Noa and Sagana, said the 2004 Vintage is even better than the 2003 vintage.
