Race Five from the Red Bull Summer Challenge series was held at Badger Karting on Sunday. The format this time around was of two qualifying sessions with a change of kart in between sessions and points being awarded according to the average lap time for both sessions.

In Group One, Mark Berman won the first session and finished second in the second while Jacob Borg met some difficulties in the first session but recovered well to win the other event.

Rookie Josef Calleja had a very good second qualifying session.

Andre Arends showed some of his old form to win the first heat in Group Two and finish fourth in the second session. Zach Zammit won the second session while Steve Camilleri and Keith Aquilina also scored high points in this race.

Peter Bugeja and Josef Spiteri, along with Paul Berman, fought a tight contest in Group Three with Bugeja claiming the first and Spiteri taking the second session. Berman was very consistent in both sessions to earn some useful points.

Group Four driver Karl Cilia flew away with the first session with Adam Bugeja settling for second place. In the other race it was Philip Tabone who came out on top with Karl Cilia runner-up and Bugeja third. The fastest lap of the night belonged to Bugeja in 37.76.
