Real Madrid coach Juande Ramos said he is looking for a right winger to boost the squad in the winter transfer period and is interested in players in the English Premier League.
The Spanish champions have been hard hit by injuries this season and Ramos said he wants to add a speedy player who can operate on the right with in-form Dutch winger Arjen Robben deployed down the left.
"It will be important for us to boost the squad with a wide right player so we can mount a strong challenge for the Champions League, not just for the league," Ramos said.
"There are some interesting players in the English market and I am clear about what I want," he added. "I have told the club what I think and now it's a question of financing."
Real are sixth in the Primera Liga with one match left before the winter break, 12 points behind leaders Barcelona who beat them 2-0 at the Nou Camp last weekend.
"It seems to me that with Robben on the left and another quick player on the right we will be very complete," Ramos said.
"A wide player will give us the strength to confront the decisive phase of the season with enough manpower."
