A repeat offender’s suspended sentence was extended yesterday after he admitted to possession of a small amount of heroin and a 10-centimetre flick knife.

The 23-year-old Qormi man pleaded guilty to the charges before Magistrate Tonio Micallef Trigona. He was given two years’ probation, and a two-year suspended sentence from November 2014 was extended by four years.

The court heard a police officer saw the accused trying to hide something in his car. Upon searching, the police found a small quantity of heroin and a flick knife.

Police Inspector Jason Sultana prosecuted. Lawyers Keith Borg and Carlos Bugeja appeared for the accused.
