Raymond Mintoff, former Prime Minister Dom Mintoff’s 87-year-old brother, died yesterday at Karen Grech Hospital, his family said.

Raymond, who was the sibling closest to Dom, had been taken under his brother’s wing and given a job as soon as the latter opened his architecture firm, which is now being run by Raymond’s grandson.

Interviewed by Times of Malta after Dom died he had recalled that although Dom was a very volatile person, he was a very patient and generous man.
