Bank of Valletta’s Preluna Towers branch will not be reopening for business tomorrow in spite of the bank issuing a release earlier today saying it will.

In another release this evening, the bank said that although the branch premises were thoroughly sanitised and certified as a ‘healthy work environment’ by a professional firm, the bank decided to postpone the re-opening of the branch to lengthen its investigations and ensure that any health and safety concern, however remote, was completely resolved.

The branch was closed on Tuesday because of a rat infestation.

The same branch was closed 13 months ago "due to a bad odour caused by a dead rat entrapped in the soffit".
