It was a world-record attempt aimed at promoting awareness for endangered eagles.

Darshan, a rare imperial eagle, took off from the roof of the world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, on Saturday with a camera strapped to its back, and swooped 830 metres to the arm of its trainer, Jacques-Olivier Travers on the ground below.

Freedom Conservation, the group behind the stunt, says its the highest ever recorded bird flight successfully completed from a man made structure. That claim has not yet been substantiated.
