Rapper Lil Wayne has left an Omaha hospital after taking ill on his private jet - and said he intends to perform on Saturday night as scheduled.

The 33-year-old New Orleans native was taken to hospital after his private jet landed at Omaha's Eppley Airfield following a medical emergency.

He was later said to be in a stable condition after suffering "two minor seizures", according to his publicist.

Lil Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr, is "all good", the spokesman said.

The Grammy-winner is booked into the Sprint Centre in Missouri for a Saturday night show with 2 Chainz.

In March 2013, Lil Wayne was taken to hospital in Los Angeles for seizures. He later told a Los Angeles radio station that he has epilepsy.
