Ramla before the clean-upRamla before the clean-up

The Gozo Tourism Association has welcomed action to remove pebbles from Ramla Bay in Gozo.

It noted that the authorities took the necessary measures in order to reinstate the popular beach, making it freely accessible to all without any difficulty.

It said an excessive amount of pebbles had rendered the beach difficult to use, as it was posing danger to visitors and bathers.

"The Gozo Tourism Association believes that the serious and balanced interventions on our small beaches will keep our beautiful island competitively marketable with so many emerging, enchanting destinations world wide."
