A kilogramme of marijuana was found headed for Malta from Pozzallo.
The drugs were found in the side panels of a car in an envelope securely wrapped in a diesel-soaked cloth.

Italy’s Gazzetta del Sud reported that the Ragusa Police stopped a car after boarding the ferry to Malta and arrested Michele Artale, 44, and Sandro Lo Presti, 40, both from Ragusa but living in Malta.

They were bringing over a consignment of vegetables.
