Next Saturday 6th December, between 5:00pm and midnight, the St Paul’s Bay Local Council will be organising a Christmas village in Qawra. This will be held in the central parking area that is located on Triq il-Maskli up the road from the bus terminus

Featuring International Christmas stalls the event will celebrate the vast cultural richness of the locality,  professional entertainment, carol singing, Christmas tree decorating, child-friendly events, artesian markets, as well as various food stalls featuring a selection of tastes from the establishments in the vicinities.

Guests will be entertained by the 6 piece Melbrass band,  Panama rock band and Kurt Calleja.  The children of the locality will be holding a workshop to show visiting children how to make Christmas ornaments which can then be placed onto a Christmas tree that will be decorated on site by the children.

This is a first for Qawra and we hope that this will be the start of a successful string of events, in collaboration also with the business community of the area. This is an event that is focused to entertain both residents and visitors of the area as well as bring both the residential and business communities together within a festive ambiance.

Part of this event will also feature a fundraising activity in aid of The Malta Community Chest Fund. This event is also being brought together with the collaboration of the Tourism Ministry and Malta Tourism Authority.
