I find it hard to accept, according to The Times of December 22, that fuel retailers/garages find it difficult to accept the decrease in fuel prices announced by Enemalta and need government assurances, since it would appear that they would suffer losses due to stocks of fuel they had purchased at the previous higher price. However, when fuel prices are increased by Enemalta, do the same retailers who have fuel in stock and which they purchased at a lower price, still keep the prices of their fuel low until stocks run out? I very much doubt that this is passed on to the consumer.

Come on, you can't have your cake and eat it. Who suffers in the end if not the poor consumer?
