Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando warned a former patient today that he could sue her for damages after she filed a judicial protest claiming that professional negligence had caused her constant pain and she had suffered a substantial disability.

The patient, Nathalie Bartolo, 48, of Pembroke, had filed her protest against dentists Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando and Alexander Azzopardi, the Director-General of public health and the government’s principal medical officer after she was treated privately and at Mater Dei Hospital. She had demanded compensation.

Dr Pullicino Orlando in a counter-protest denied the woman's claims. He said she had been treated in the proper manner as demanded by the profession, and furthermore, he had even treated her after hours.
