A pub lottery syndicate has won £4.5 million, it was revealed yesterday.
The nine members are regulars at the Doon Inn in Blantyre, South Lanarkshire, and matched six numbers in the Lotto game on Saturday. The group won £4,525,058, meaning each will receive around £500,000.
A Doon Inn worker, who did not want to be named, said: "The group are regulars and not members of staff so it's nothing to do with the pub.
"We're delighted for them, it's absolutely great and phenomenal for them."
The nine will celebrate their good fortune when they meet Camelot representatives in Glasgow today.
