The owner of a bottle shop in Paceville has filed a judicial protest against the Police Commissioner after he was ordered to close his shop at 11pm.

John Bonello, owner of Hole in the Wall, said his licence stated that he had no restrictions on opening and closing times.

But last Friday at 11 p.m. he was ordered by a policeman to close the shop immediately because he was breaching his licence.

Mr Bonello said he was holding the Police Commissioner responsible for any damages that he had incurred due to closing and asked the commissioner to refrain from treating him in the same way.

Lawyer Roberto Montalto signed the protest.
