Easygas has protested in court that the Malta Resources Authority was wrong in insisting that it should hand over gas cylinders in its possession to Liquigas.

In a judicial protest, it argued that the regulator did not have proof such cylinders belonged to Liquigas, as defined by the Liquefied Petroleum Gas Market Regulations.

Easygas also accused the watchdog of failing to demand the return of cylinders it owned but were in the possession of Liquigas even though it provided all the evidence required.

The protest was signed by lawyers Adrian Delia, Lauro Fava and Karl Tanti.
